How to obtain administrative documents online in Morocco

More than 1,500 Moroccan municipalities and all consular civil-status offices now provide access to official administrative documents online: birth certificates, full copies of civil-status records, residence certificates and other civil-status documents.

The service is particularly useful for Moroccans living abroad, who can obtain their documents without travelling.

How it works

1. Go to the official Watiqa.ma platform.
2. Fill in the form with your personal details and specify the document you need.
3. Pay online — the fee covers administrative costs and delivery.
4. Receive your document by post or by email, depending on the option chosen.

When support becomes useful

The procedure is simple on paper. It becomes complicated when the civil-status record contains an error, when the requested document does not exist in the expected form, or when several authorities have to be approached for the same file.
